Springtime Resin Driveway in Merton, Bicester

In August 2024, a homeowner in Merton asked Jurassic Home Solutions to upgrade their worn-out asphalt driveway to a fresh resin one. The old driveway had seen better days, with potholes, loose stones, and weeds poking through the whole surface. The new resin driveway would take care of these issues, giving the front of their home a complete facelift while making it safer to drive over.

Initial Consultation and Design Planning

Our work began with a visit to the site, where we assessed the current driveway and spoke with the client about their vision. They were looking for a warm, welcoming resin driveway that would transform the look of their home while being safe to walk and drive on.

After exploring a few options together, they settled on our Springtime shade - a blend of golden, white, red, and brown aggregates that perfectly complemented the cream tones of their home. They also chose to border the entryway with sleek Charcoal blocks for a neat, modern touch.

Site Preparation

We got started on the project soon after our initial consultation. The existing driveway needed to be dug out entirely, so we carefully removed the old surface and replaced it with a permeable sub-base. We worked our way from the pavement toward the house, stopping just short of the raised step the clients wanted to keep. We made sure to be especially mindful around the flowerbeds, greenery, and gate to avoid any damage.

Prep work took two days to complete. Afterwards, the space was all set for the resin application to begin.

Resin Spread and Finishing Touches

On 24^th August 2024, we moved on to the final step - laying the resin!

Our team applied a layer of high-quality, UV-stable Springtime resin over the sub-base, creating a smooth and seamless finish. We also installed a Charcoal block edge between the resin and the pavement, clearly marking the entrance to the driveway.

We finished laying the resin by the end of the day, leaving the driveway totally revamped.

The finished driveway has completely transformed the entrance to our client’s home. What was once a worn, potholed asphalt driveway is now a stunning, warm-toned resin surface that complements their home beautifully, with the Charcoal edging adding a subtle modern touch.
