In mid-2024, Jurassic Home Solutions was tasked with transforming a dated patio area into a stylish, durable, and low-maintenance outdoor space for a family in Fareham, Hampshire. The client wanted a modern look that would complement their conservatory, make outdoor gatherings easier, and add extra value to their home.

Initial Consultation and Design Planning

We started with a site visit to assess the existing patio space and discuss the client’s vision. They were looking for a sleek, weather-resistant patio that would fit perfectly with their garden’s natural look and include a raised step for easy access to the conservatory.

After considering their options, they chose our Sienna resin colour for its warm tones, which would complement both the house and the surrounding aggregates, and added a Charcoal block edge to frame the patio with a stylish contrast.

Site Preparation

The project began on 12^th July 2024 with some essential prep work. The existing space needed a complete excavation, so our team dug out the old surface and laid down a permeable sub-base in its place, taking extra care around the house and conservatory to prevent any damage.

During this phase, we also built a raised step to give the clients easier access to their conservatory, adding that extra touch of functionality they were looking for.

After two days of focused groundwork, everything was ready for the resin application to begin.

Resin Spread and Finishing Touches

The resin application took place on 23^rd July 2024. Our team used high-quality, UV-stable resin, applying a light layer over the base and raised step for an even, seamless finish. We also installed a Charcoal block edge around the patio, framing it beautifully and helping to keep the resin in place over time.

In just three days, the patio was fully transformed!

Completion and Final Reveal

The completed patio is a stylish, inviting outdoor space that perfectly brings the client’s vision to life. The warm Sienna resin, accented with Charcoal edging, creates a cosy spot ideal for relaxing or entertaining, while the new raised step provides easy access to the conservatory.
