Moonshadow Resin Driveway in Croydon

In June 2024, a homeowner in Croydon reached out to Jurassic Home Solutions to give their driveway a fresh update. The old concrete was cracked and worn, so they asked us to level it out and replace it with a sleek, durable resin finish. They wanted a surface that looked great, required little upkeep, and was comfortable for both walking and driving.

Initial Consultation and Design Planning

We started by visiting the site to assess the condition of the existing driveway and discuss the best options for transforming it. We also talked with the homeowner to understand their vision for the space.

After exploring a few possibilities, they chose our Moonshadow shade - a silver-grey blend with bold black flecks for added texture and contrast. They opted for Charcoal block borders to complete the clean and contemporary design.

Site Preparation

We got to work on the project shortly after our initial consultation with the homeowner. We removed the broken sections of the driveway and added a new sub-base, levelling it perfectly with the remaining concrete to create a smooth foundation for the resin. We also installed 22 metres of Charcoal block edging for a tidy border.

Since the driveway was relatively small, the prep work only took us a day to complete. Once that was done, the space was ready for the resin application to begin!

Resin Spread and Finishing Touches

We returned not long later to lay down the resin itself. Our team applied a layer of high-quality, UV-stable Moonshadow resin over the freshly prepared 74 m² surface, creating a sleek and seamless finish. We carefully worked from the pavement toward the house, making sure to protect the greenery on both sides of the driveway as we went.

By the end of the day, the resin was in place, and the driveway was completely transformed.

Completion and Final Reveal

The finished driveway has completely revitalised the entrance to our client’s home - from worn-out, cracked grey concrete to a stunning, textured resin surface with a crisp border that perfectly complements the style of the house.
